The project has been commissioned as part of Beacon Pathway Ltd’s wider research into improving the sustainability of New Zealand’s housing. BRANZ Ltd is conducting the research on behalf of Beacon. BRANZ has been involved in monitoring the Waitakere and Rotorua NOW Homes®, and has considerable experience in gathering home performance data.
EnergySmart
EnergySmart has managed the installation phase of the project. EnergySmart, now owned by Hutt Mana Charitable Trust, is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions. Their aim is to enable the supply and installation of simple but effective energy efficient measures to New Zealand households.
